Essence have a bunch of new products in Australia that you may have seen on the shelves already – if not, go check them out!

Let’s start with this gorgeous blush from the Blush Up! range – Heat Wave ($6.45). How pretty is the gradient?

It’s a pretty coral shade. Despite looking very fluoro in the pan, it’s surprisingly soft and wearable, and blends nicely. You can adjust the shade by swiping more to the pink side or more to the orange side, but I’m not super fussed as it’s a pretty nice all-round shade for me.

There are some new lip glosses available too. The XXXL Longlasting Lipglosses ($4.10) come in both matt and mirror shine finishes.

Silky Red has a matte finish and is very pigmented – I would call it a liquid lipstick rather than a lip gloss. It’s moisturising and reminds me of NYX’s matte lip creams, and the shade is right up my alley.

Baby Doll’s Favourite is less of my thing – I’m not a huge lip gloss fan – but it’s a nice shade with subtle shimmer that would suit a lot of people. Both shades smell and taste fantastic, like caramel toffee. Silky Red is going to get a lot of use!

Essence have also released a number of eyeshadows. The 3D eyeshadows ($4.95) have a cool ripple effect. Irresistible Fox-trott has a flecked coppery brown shade paired with a light coral pink shimmer.

There are also a bunch of new mono shadows ($2.85). Miss Atlantis is a bright blue shimmer.

These swatches were one swipe over primer – you can see how pigmented they are! The textures are soft and blendable.
