Online shopping is the bomb-diggity. There’s no pressure from pushy sales assistants, you have all the time in the world to do price comparisons and read reviews, plus you don’t have to wear pants! Luxola also stocks brands that don’t have a great presence in brick-and-mortar stores in Australia, like Mirenesse, Sleek and Wet ‘n Wild, so when they asked me if I’d like to try some of their blushes out, I jumped at the chance!

mirenesse-blush
Mirenesse Marble Mineral Blush in Paros Pink ($60.99 for 12 g) – The marbled pattern is gorgeous in the pan, and it smells of rose – it’s easy to see why this has fantastic reviews everywhere! Paros Pink is a little light for me to use alone, but it makes for a lovely cool pink highlight over the blush, with a pretty sheen that isn’t too sparkly.

sleek-blush
Sleek Blush in Rose Gold ($15.25 for 8 g) – This is a warm peachy pink with gold shimmer. On lighter skin this would be decently pigmented, but just like the Mirenesse blush, I mostly just get golden glow on my face. It’s a really pretty glow though, so I’m not complaining!

wet-wild-blush

Wet n Wild Color Icon Blusher in Berry Shimmer ($9.05 for 4 g) – This is SO PIGMENTED it’s ridiculous! You need to use a really light hand with this, but it’s a really pretty colour, and luckily if you put too much on you can save it with some regular powder and a big foofy brush.

Swatches from left to right: Mirenesse Marble Mineral Blush in Paros Pink, Sleek Blush in Rose Gold and Wet n Wild Color Icon Blusher in Berry Shimmer.

Luxola have a bunch more blushes for sale (more advice on blush on their blog too), as well as other make-up, skincare and hair products. They offer free shipping for orders over $55, otherwise it’s $15 with an estimated delivery time of 2-10 business days.

I’ve also been given a discount codeĀ BLX-LAB for my readers for 25% off your first order until 30th September (I don’t get any kickbacks from this). Happy shopping!

  1. It’s great to find sites that sell products that you can’t find locally. I still wish some drugstore companies would sell their products directly through their websites, since finding limited edition stuff is a pain, or just finding the full range of products in general. I can buy the entire line of Wet n Wild beauty without driving more than 10 miles, but I can’t buy more than a few Essence cosmetics without shopping at Ulta and hoping they may expand to the full lineup of products.

    • Oh yeah, I have that issue with limited edition Essence too! The main drugstore here (Priceline) sells most things online but Essence limited editions run out way too quickly for that to happen. And of course there are random missing products from the regular ranges as well…
