Artsy Wednesday: Ruffian

The theme this week was ruffian nails. These are mine:

I was wearing China Glaze Glittering Garland at the time and I wasn’t quite sick of it yet, so I stamped a BM design on top in ulta3 Gold Rush Fever (PRC). I then used an eyeliner brush to paint on a bit more gold to make the stamping a bit bolder at the bottom edge, and painted more Glittering Garland on top to make the ruffian shape. Finally I stuck on some little nail gem studs. I got a lot of compliments on this one!

I really like ruffians – they’re a lot easier to shape than half moons since you can just use the bottle brush. I always have trouble getting half moons to look right – I like then to be proportional to the nail size, so I freehand them and it takes forever to get them even!

Great idea to include stamping with the ruffian. I like how it peeks out the bottom!
