Have you been to an ulta3 stockist lately? The cold weather hasn’t hit Sydney yet, but ulta3 have a new vampy autumnal collection out…

First up, the polishes!

Red Velvet – Red jelly polish. It’s a really nice classic with a twist – the jelly finish makes it look extra shiny!
Blackberry Tart – Another classic colour with a jelly finish. It’s like a more purple version of OPI’s gorgeous In the Cable Car-Pool Lane.
My Macaroon – This one’s a deep, almost black maroon creme.
Creme Brulee – A nude creme.

The formulas are excellent – I’m particularly in love with Blackberry Tart. It’s a perfect vampy shade that would be flattering on almost everyone.

There are also three lippies in the collection.

Vanilla Kisses – This nude colour is a tad pinker than Creme Brulee. It’s a bit too close to my skin colour to work on me.
Winter Plum – This one’s a classic deep red. It’s pretty strongly pigmented.
Sweet Currant – A deep reddish purple. Be still my heart! This one’s gorgeous and on trend, without being too out there (it’s a little sheer). If you’re still too shy to wear it, it looks amazing as a stain.

I applied about two layers for these swatches:

The formulas of these lipsticks are quite nice – not too dry, and not too smudgy. The cases are the usual shiny black ulta3 cases with the colour coordinated bases which are super handy for picking out the right colour quickly.

Overall, this is a really wearable seasonal collection from ulta3! As usual, ulta3’s prices are very budget-friendly – $2 for the polishes, $2.95 for the lippies. My picks are Blackberry Tart and Sweet Currant.

  1. We have finally got ulta3 in NZ — hurrah for decent quality at drugstore prices! I picked up a nail polish in the weekend but didn’t see this new range there. Will keep an eye out.
