I warned you there’d be tape manis! 😛

Sandwich dissection:
CND Stickey
ulta3 Gold Rush Fever (gold shimmer)
Milani Gems (chunky rainbow glitter)
ulta3 Confetti (fine fuschia/gold/blue glitter, to try to give a more defined “edge” at the cuticle)
Orly Bonder (smoothes the glitter out so well!)
Seche Vite
(dried overnight)
(tape wedges added)
ulta3 Orchid (cool purple with gold shimmer)
(tape wedges removed)
Sally Hansen Insta-Dri

Tasty glitter macro:

All the little pink things are from Confetti – there aren’t any little pink things in Gems as far as I can tell.

Tape manis – still sexy, or so last year?

  1. I love glitter! And tape manis! Totally not last year, I reckon! I always do mine, colour first, glitter second, but it looks really good the way you’ve done it. I’m amazed how smooth the purple goes on over the glitter.

    • I think that would be easier to remove… but I’m not sure how well it would work in this case – I needed a few coats of glitter, and I was worried that the tape would dissolve. Does the tape ever dissolve for you? :

It’s smooth because of the base coat layer on top of the glitter – it works surprisingly well!

  2. Ooo! This is perfect for Mardi Gras! I don’t think tape mani’s are out of date at all as long as people keep coming up with creative new designs and color combinations.
