This Wednesday’s theme is inspired by a movie. I decided to use A Clockwork Orange, one of my favourite books and movies!
In the movie, the main character, Alex, wears a bowler hat and heavier eyeliner under his right eye. Bart Simpson dressed up as him one Halloween 🙂
I used Sally Hansen Sun Kissed for the orange base, and ulta3 White Lily and Black Satin for the design. I freehanded the hat and eye, and used tape for the stripes.

Check out these girlies for more movie nails!

Thank you!
Very Vibrant & bold. I’ve never seen the movie but I remember very well seeing Bart Simpson dressed as this character. Great job
I love bold nail art, if I had to describe my style that would be it! Thanks 🙂
Very much like – both the insane movie aaaaand the lovely nail art – great work 🙂
Haha thank you!
This is amazing! x

Cool! I dig A clockwork orange, great idea for nail art!
Thank you!
I’ve never heard about this book/movie :p
It’s a classic, from 1971, directed by Stanley Kubrick 🙂
That’s too perfect! So cute 🙂
Thank you!
I’ve been told I should see this movie – and now I have to hunt it down! 🙂
It’s definitely a classic! 🙂
These are awesome! I have to show my BF later, he loves this movie!
Thank you!
What a great idea, and so well made. 🙂
Thanks so much! 🙂
These are great! I’ve been experimenting with nail art but I’m really rubbish 🙁
Did you get my email with the blog button for the swap? xxxx
You should post it – practice makes perfect 🙂
Yes I did! I’ve put it up now, on the right above the Artsy Wednesday picture – sorry it took so long, I’m rubbish with editing my layout!
Aw thank you! Don’t worry I was just checking that it’d had got to you ok 🙂 Out of curiosity – how do you manage your left hand? or whichever you don’t write with 🙂
I’m used to it now, with all the practice! 😛 It also helps to rest my wrists on a table or my knees when I do it, and the cleanup brush is a lifesaver!
i love this! looks awesome
Thanks!! 🙂
I watched this movie for the first time not long ago. It’s quite unusual haha 🙂 Love your free hand art! 🙂
It’s super effed up! But I got mad props from my bf’s friends for my mani 🙂
This is awesome! I need to watch this movie!
It’s a great movie – not for the faint-hearted though!
Love it! Such a funky design! x
Thank you!
I thought about doing this movie too! I’m so glad at the movies everyone chose! Did you read the book?
Yes – I actually read the book before I watched the movie, I think I prefer it! But then again, I have a short attention span and usually can’t stay awake during movies 🙁
never seen this film but wow… it’s so funky xx
Thank you! 🙂
Loooove these! 😀 They’re awesome!
Thanks! 🙂
I just love a clockwork orange! And you represented them perfectly!
Thanks! 🙂
I love this movie! I really need to see it again, though, it’s been a while. I love that orange too!
It’s been a while for me too!
