The second half of my Rimmel Apocalips swatches – here are the sheers and nudes in the collection released in Australia (check out the first half of the Apocalips swatches here).
Solstice is a dusty pink with fine iridescent shimmer, and the most wearable shade in this collection in my opinion. It’s subtle and pretty – I didn’t expect to like a shimmer lip shade so much, but it’s probably my favourite in the whole collection.
Stargazer is a sheer gold shimmer – this would be gorgeous over a creme colour.
Nude Eclipse is a nude that’s very close to my skin colour – I still haven’t found a shade that works for me, and this is no different.
Phenomenon is a pale, slightly orange-tinged nude. On my skin, it’s not very wearable by itself, but on someone paler it could work. I can’t work out if it’s the same shade as Luna, which was released overseas.
I tried layering Celestial on top and it looked much nicer.
Phenomenon and Nude Eclipse simply don’t work on me, but Solstice is absolutely gorgeous! Again, the packaging and application are great. Solstice is still a bit messy, like the brights, but the shimmer makes it a bit more forgiving on the lips. Stargazer would be great for layering, and as it’s very sheer, it’s much less high maintenance than the brights. My picks from the overall collection? Stellar, Apocalyptic, Solstice and Stargazer.

You have really nice lips! In a non-creepy way 😐
Great swatches!
I’ve got no idea if Phenomenon is meant to be Luna either! The names are so confusing. I think it’s a really pretty nude though 🙂
the first one looks really pretty on you 🙂
