Euro Centrale is OPI’s Spring/Summer 2013 collection, inspired by the clash of classic architecture and modern art in four Central European countries – Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Romania . It’s got a bunch of cremes, with a few shimmers and a glitter topper thrown in.

I’ve swatched three of the shades from the collection:

OPI… Eurso Euro is a rich, primary blue creme that’s a bit darker than Revlon Royal. Also happily, unlike Royal, it’s opaque in 2 coats. This would make a great base for Fantasy Fire. Unfortunately my swatch doesn’t do the colour’s deep brightness justice! Hopefully I’ll have the opportunity to wear it again soon.

Vant to Bite My Neck? is a beautifully rich, vampy medium-purple eggplant creme. It’s perfect in two coats.

Polka.com is a glitter topper. It’s got pink, blue and purple hexes, as well as purple dust glitter. It’s too sparse to be worn on its own, but it looks great over both of the cremes. I’ve done all the combos of gradient/normal and glossy/matte here.

Overall, I’m very impressed with this collection. The colours go well together, and do that horrible thing where you feel like you need the whole collection, even though none of the shades are particularly unique – it really does remind me of my holiday in the Czech Republic two years ago! The two cremes are beautifully formulated and opaque in two coats, as well as self-levelling, and Polka.com manages to be a bit different despite all the glittermania we’ve been swamped with lately, but also flattering over many shades. And luckily for us antipodeans, there’s a nice mix of shades that work all year round.

OPI Euro Centrale will be available from February 6 at selected salons and David Jones, and from March 1 at Myer. They will retail for $19.95 RRP.
