Sometimes when I’m feeling down, a whiff of a scented product can make me feel a tad better. Here are ten of my favourite “scentsations” (I apologise profusely for the pun, it’s Monday!):

Elume Creme Caramel Candle – I haven’t even lit this yet but I’m already in love. It occupies a permanent place on my bedside table, so I can smell it last thing at night and first thing in the morning. Healthier than sleeping next to a jar of peanut butter (which I have totally considered).

NIVEA Vanilla & Macadamia Lip Butter* (review) – Another dessert substitute. This one smells to me like Lindt chocolate, and wearing it on my lips kills any put-cake-in-my-face urges.

Vice & Velvet Siren Body Polish – I’m loving the scents from this handmade Melbourne brand. I’m getting into patchouli this winter, as evidenced by this and the Molton Brown body wash.

Crabtree and Evelyn India Hicks Spider Lily Body Cream (review) – One of the first products featured on this blog, and it’s still my go-to comfort scent. Super rich and nourishing, the scent feels like a luxurious cuddle.

Vaseline Cocoa Butter Smoothing Body Butter – This is great for my winter skin, and smells sugary sweet (do we detect a theme here?). I prefer the scent of this to the version from The Body Shop, which was too cloying for me.

Burt’s Bees Coconut Foot Creme* – This thick greasy gel is amazing for softening my feet (though too sticky to use elsewhere), and smells strongly of fresh coconut meat. I’ve been using it under socks at night, and it’s all soaked in by morning.

Molton Brown Patchouli & Saffron Body Wash* – Part of Molton Brown’s Heritage collection, this retro scent makes me think of leather car seats and the Rolling Stones.

Trilogy Ultra Hydrating Hand Cream* (review) and The Jojoba Company Lemon & Coconut Hand Cream* – This winter my hands have been feeling tight after washing, so I’m a bit obsessed with hand cream. Citrus never fails to perk me up!

Revlon Scented “Fizz” Nail Polish (swatch) – I love this collection – the fun scents reminded me of my first nail polish (Lipsmackers Galactic Grape – it still smells awesome). I have the fizzes in Apple-tini, Grape, Watermelon and Grapefruit, and the scent persists for days even under top coat. My favourite’s Apple-tini Fizz, and as you can see I’ve used up a fair bit of the bottle.

What scented products are you loving at the moment?

  1. My favourite scent right now is Soap and Glory Hand Food. I bought a Vice and Velvet gift pack but I totally forgot about it! Thanks for reminding me to start using it :p

  2. I really want to try the Nivea lip butter and I’m surprised anything Burt’s Bees made the list because I’ve found so many of their scents offensive. I’m fact, so offputting I don’t even use them. Sorry if I’ve spammed you, I’m having trouble commenting (not your fault but rather my device).
My favorite scented products right now is this coconut and pineapple body lotion from Argan Plus (I think) and Haus of Gloi’s Litchi Milk Tea! Oo, one more product 🙂 it’s a petroleum lip balm in Salted Caramel from Tokyo Milk :D.

    • I don’t really care for the Burt’s Bees lip balm scents, but this foot cream and the lemon cuticle balm are both gorgeously scented! I’ll have to look those products up, thanks for the recs 🙂

  3. A random fact about the Burt’s Bees foot creme, it’s aaammmaaazzziiinngggg for cuticles if they’re severely dried out! I read somewhere that someone used it and I had to try it. I slowly massaged it in over the space of a couple of hours and they where the softest they have ever been!
