I’ve been trying out some more Mary Kay products recently. The latest are their lipsticks. I was sent lippies from two different ranges, the new True Dimensions lipsticks in Firecracker and Pink Chérie, and the classic Creme lipsticks in Really Red, Sunny Citrus and Whisper.

I really like the True Dimensions lipsticks, which were launched in Australia in August. They’re buttery smooth and super moisturising, while having great colour payoff. The finish is glossy, and they feel kind of like a lighter version of my beloved Lip Butters, with more intense pigmentation.

Firecracker is a slightly cool-toned bright red.

Pink Chérie is a light pink.

The True Dimensions lipsticks come in a sleek silver case with a cute opening mechanism – you poke the clear window to pop out the lippie. The only criticism I have about these is that the fat flat-topped bullet is tricky to use, but apart from that – perfect!

I’m not such a big fan of the Creme lipsticks – while the intensity of the colour is great, they’re very drying. I’ve been wearing them with gloss on top and balm underneath, which works quite well, but I prefer a lipstick I can just slather on.

Mary Kay products can be purchased online here. The True Dimensions lipsticks retails for $28, while the Creme lipsticks are $24.
